Latest unofficial Raptor Farm Nerf?
Anyone else noticed the groups of raptor nestlings give up the chase very early when you're trying to aggro the entire cave....? This happened sometime over the weekend as far as I can tell.

worked fine in Hardmode for me.
I once used grasping earth while luring them in HM (so same runspeed) and they lost aggro.
So maybe it doesn't work in nm anymore but it does in HM

Nope.
If you're doing it in NM, they de-aggro very easily, if your using a speedbost. This is because they dont have the 50% movement speed like they do in HM.

They don't have 50% in HM. Even Aatxes in HM have only 25% boost (in NM it's 10%). I'd say they have 15-20% boost in Hard Mode.
They also don't attack 50% faster, don't cast 50% faster. Only bosses and boss-like foes does, and even then not all.

I just started refarming raptors yesterday (in need of some points) and it was working just fine except for 2 which didn't want to follow me.

I heard if you bring gwen or go along as a cute naked female monk they are easier to aggro.

What running skill did you use perhaps?
I always use dash to get to the cave, but never inside as that will cause you to break aggro with some of the nestlings. Dark escape is the running stance I use inside the cave.
I havent noticed any change in their running speed or their breaking aggro.

It depends on what build you are using. I use A/E with Mindbender (Rank 10 = 33% boost)... I also take along Djinn's Haste for damage or for running to the cave. If you use Mindbender and Flame Djinn's Haste together, it seems they both stack to 50% boost and you will shake off Raptor's pretty quickly in HM. So only use one running skill and make sure you don't use anything else that would stack together, such as Flame Djinn's Haste.

50% seems to be the key to shaking off HM agro. Dash will do the same, don't use it in the cave.
